How it works
Signed on Monday, published by the following week
About 10 working days from signature to your first four articles being live. One hour of your time at the start, roughly twenty minutes a month after that.
Every stage, and who does what
Nothing here is hidden behind “onboarding”. This is the whole sequence.
The consultation
Day 0- We do
- We look at your website, what already ranks in your area, and what your competitors have and have not covered. Forty-five minutes, no charge, no obligation.
- You do
- Turn up and answer questions about your business.
- End of it
- The first three months of article titles, written down and yours to keep even if you never hire us.
You say yes
Day 1- We do
- You get a one-page agreement — the price, what you get, and how to cancel. Nothing longer, nothing with a lock-in.
- You do
- Sign it and pay the first month.
- End of it
- Start date confirmed.
Kickoff call
Days 1–3- We do
- One structured hour. Your services and prices, the towns you cover, your licences and warranties, the questions customers ask you every single week, the jobs you want more of and the jobs you want fewer of.
- You do
- One hour, once. This is the only long meeting there is.
- End of it
- Everything we write afterwards comes out of this call.
Access and tracking
Days 2–4- We do
- We set ourselves up to publish on your site and connect analytics so there are real numbers in your first report.
- You do
- A login for your website, or an introduction to whoever manages it. Five minutes of forwarding an email.
- End of it
- We can publish without you, and we can measure what happens next.
Voice sample
Days 3–6- We do
- We write one article and send it before we write the other three. Better to be wrong once than four times.
- You do
- Read it. Tell us what sounds off. Be blunt — this is the moment it costs nothing.
- End of it
- A voice we both agree on, locked in for everything after.
First articles live
By day 10- We do
- All 4 written, edited, optimised and published on your website.
- You do
- Nothing. Look at your site.
- End of it
- Four new pages doing work for you, permanently.
First report
First week of the next month- We do
- One email with the numbers: articles published, page views, enquiries, and revenue you have confirmed came from them.
- You do
- Tell us which jobs came from an article. That is the only number we cannot see ourselves.
- End of it
- Evidence, monthly, whether it flatters us or not.
Then the same rhythm, every month
Once you are running, the month has the same four beats. You always know where things are without having to ask.
- Week 1
Topics confirmed
You get the month’s four titles by email. Reply with a change or reply with a thumbs up; either takes under a minute. If we do not hear back we write the plan we already agreed with you.
- Weeks 2–3
Writing and review
Articles are researched, written and sent to you in a single document. You mark anything that is wrong about your business. We fix it. There is no limit on how many times.
- Week 4
Published
All four go live on your site, formatted, linked and optimised. Nothing is left sitting in a document for you to paste in later.
- First week of the next month
The report
One email. Articles published, page views, enquiries, and the revenue you have confirmed came from them. Sent whether the month was good or bad.
What we need from you
The complete list. If it is not here, we are not going to ask for it.
- One hour for the kickoff call, once, at the start
- About twenty minutes a month reading drafts and saying what is wrong
- Access to publish on your website, or an introduction to whoever has it
- A heads-up when your services, prices or service area change
- Telling us which jobs came from an article, so the report is honest
What you never have to do
This is the whole point of paying somebody.
- Thinking of topics
- Writing, editing or proofreading
- Uploading, formatting or adding images
- Anything to do with SEO settings
- Chasing us for a status update
When you should expect to see something
Honestly, and without the numbers other agencies invent. Search results move slowly, and anyone promising month-one results is selling you something else.
Month 1
Four articles live. Almost no traffic yet — new pages are not trusted immediately, and that is normal. This month is about getting the machine running.
Months 2–3
Twelve articles live. The earliest ones start appearing for long, specific searches. First enquiries that can be traced to a page are common here, but not guaranteed.
Months 4–6
Around twenty articles. This is usually where the line on the traffic chart stops being flat. Most clients can point to real jobs by now.
Months 7–12
Your site becomes the one that answers the question in your area. Older articles keep climbing without further work, which is the part ads never do.
We cannot promise a ranking and we will not pretend otherwise. What we can promise is that four good articles go live every month, that they are written about your business by someone who has spoken to you, and that you get a report saying exactly what happened. More on what we do and do not claim.
See what you would be publishing
A short call. We look at your website, your services and the towns you cover, and come back with the first three months of article titles — yours to keep either way.
