What else $1,200 a month buys
You are going to make these comparisons anyway. Here they are, including the ones where the answer might not be us.
Writing it yourself
Free, in theoryTwo to three hours per article once you include research, so ten to twelve hours a month. The real cost is that it stops the first busy week, and inconsistent publishing is worth close to nothing.
Hiring a marketing coordinator
$3,500–5,000 / monthPlus payroll tax, holiday, equipment and management. They will do more than write, but you are now running a department, and the writing still competes with everything else on their desk.
Cheap content mills
$50–150 / articleYou get words. You will not get somebody who knows what a German cockroach infestation actually looks like, and you will not get anybody publishing it, linking it or measuring it.
Google Ads
$15–40 / clickFaster than content and genuinely useful. But the moment you stop paying, it stops. Most companies that do well run both: ads for now, articles for the years after.
When you should not hire us
A client who cancels in month two costs us more than they paid. We would rather say this now than take the money.
You want leads next week
Content is not the tool for that. Run ads, and start content alongside them so you are not renting your traffic forever.
Your website is broken
If the site is not mobile-friendly, has no working contact form, or takes eight seconds to load, fix that first. Sending readers to a site that cannot receive them wastes the articles and your money.
You want to approve nothing
We need about twenty minutes of your attention a month. If nobody at your company will read a draft, the articles will be generic and that is on all of us.
You will cancel in month two
Search results move slowly. If you cannot commit to about six months of publishing before judging it, the money is better spent elsewhere.
Questions about the money
Is there really no setup fee?
No. The first month is the same price as every other month, and it includes the kickoff call, the quarterly topic plan and the first four articles.
Is there a contract?
No long-term contract. It is month to month, with 30 days’ notice on either side. We would rather keep you because the reports are good.
When am I billed?
On the same day each month, starting the day you sign. You get an invoice by email and can pay by card or bank transfer.
What if I want more than four articles?
We can write more. Tell us on the call and we will price it before you commit — never as a surprise line on an invoice.
Does the price change as my company grows?
No. It is the same price for three trucks or thirty. The work is the same work.
Who owns the articles?
You do, completely, from the moment they are paid for. If you leave, everything stays on your site and you can do whatever you like with it.
See what you would be publishing
A short call. We look at your website, your services and the towns you cover, and come back with the first three months of article titles — yours to keep either way.
